When should I book?
It’s never too early to book. You can book as early as your 20 week scan. I do take many bookings months in advance.
The best time to photograph your newborn baby is between 5 and 20 days. This is when they are most relaxed and sleepy and we are able to position them in beautiful, natural poses.
I prefer to photograph first thing in the morning too as I find this generally to be the best time for your newborn.
How long will the newborn session take?
Newborn photography sessions take between 1 and 3 hours depending entirely on your baby. I work around your newborns needs allowing plenty of time for feeding and changing, etc. I never rush your newborn and always work alongside them, following baby’s lead. Please feed your newborn right before their session to make sure your baby will be calm and sleepy throughout. If your newborn needs to feed, we can take a break. I also ask that parents try and keep their baby awake an hour prior to the session.
What do I need to bring?
I have a large selection of props, headbands, wraps, hats, etc that we can use during your session. If you have any items you would like included, please feel free to bring them with you. It’s lovely to include things personal to the family. Please bring any extra clothes for yourself too, as babies are known to have some accidents.
Do you take family photographs during the session too?
Absolutely!!! I love it when Mum, Dad and siblings want to get involved in the session. There is no extra charge.
What should we wear for the family photographs?
Please wear something you feel comfortable in. I prefer bright coloured clothing without any logo’s on, as they are a big distraction. I want all my focus to be on you and your lovely family.
